Home Church Involvement with Dave Porter

Most of Dave Porter’s time is absorbed by his work with Red Rock International Guinea in the diamond exporting business.  However, Dave Porter has lived long enough to know that you can’t let work carry you away from the rest of your life.

Despite the fact that he maintains a busy and successful career exporting rough and uncut diamonds from West Africa, Dave Porter has always made plenty of time for his home church. Church life is a top priority for Dave Porter, who resides in his home state of Utah with his family.

His work as an exporter may be demanding, but Porter knows that if he isn’t diligent about making time for his family, church, and God, then he wouldn’t be able to carry on with his demanding career.
Dave Porter gives freely of his time and money whenever his home church is concerned.  Whether it’s by volunteering to help facilitate the service, or by participating in a weekly Bible study, Dave Porter wants to be involved.  Porter also wants for his family to be involved in their church.

It’s important for Porter, who also prioritizes quality family time, that the whole family is deeply rooted in the church experience.  Porter believes that church has a number of benefits for him and his family:

  • It keeps you grounded in your faith, by providing resources and support.
  • Church offers a network of like-minded people, so that you individuals you can turn to in times of need.
  • Church helps add structure to life when things can sometimes get chaotic.  Dave Porter believes it’s important to commit to going to church every Sunday no matter what, or else it won’t happen.
No matter how busy work with Red Rock International Guinea gets for Dave Porter, church is one thing he’s definitely committed to!
