Motorcycle Lover: Dave Porter

Dave Porter might have a hard time pinning down just one or two of his top interests.  But for the diamond exporter, who works with Red Rock International Guinea, riding motorcycles is definitelyup there!
Porter loves his bikes, and he loves the roads of his home state, Utah, where he often takes them out for a spin.  There’s nothing quite as exhilarating to Porter as suiting up and donning his helmet for a long ride through those gorgeous scenic landscapes.

Whether he’s climbing up some of the beautiful mountains that the state is famous for, or driving along empty plains, Dave Porter is always having the time of his life when he’s on his bike.  He’s ridden extensively throughout Utah, Nevada, and other areas of the west.

Whenever he has a free, long weekend, he loves going out for a spin.  Climbing mountains to the loud roar of his bike’s engine is a feeling that he just can’t imagine attaining any other way.

In his college years, Dave Porter was a football player at Brigham young University and then later on at Southern Utah University.  He loved the sport for the adrenaline rush it gave (among other reasons).  While he can’t quite play football the same way at his age, he’s found that riding his motorcycle provides a similar feeling of adrenaline and exhilaration!

Not only does Porter enjoy riding; he also likes fixing up his bike.  After all, maintenance is one of the enjoyable – albeit challenging – aspects of riding a motorcycle.  When a problem arises or a certain maintenance task is necessary, Dave Porter loves bringing out the toolkit and setting about the problem.  It gives him a sense of satisfaction to repair something broken, and restore it to its former state.
